The Good Ol’ Days

Mindlovemisery Photo Challenge #87 image by Richard Loader

Like a dense thicket of underbrush, trees
heavy shadows distorting the edges of truth
smoky, misty images, obscuring motive,
tricking the eye, confusion of light and dark
a marbled landscape of black and white
where things are not always what they seem
or what I read into them… memories are not
reliable proofs. I see the past in a peculiar light,
dim, suffused with emotion, one sided, lob-sided,
unbalanced, uneven, like a delusion of longing to
make it better than it was, a filter on the camera
lens of the mind to soften and blur and tame.

For me, personally, Debi – this is the line that sets the pace and tone for this very wonderfully reflective and evocative piece; it is stirring in words and the images you’ve managed to create …. a very unique voice speaking … yet reaches out to one and all.

As gorgeous as the image 🙂

    Cheers ~ Pat
