Quickly’s Winter Doldrums Write a poem about plumbing.

I plugged my heart with couldn’t care

wouldn’t dare let another love in

too afraid, after my fall, so dammed it up.

You stole my heart but I still wore that patch.

Now at last trust has been restored

and I say, “Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead!”

I unplugged my heart to love instead.
