A road of silver bids me follow
but I am much too much afraid
There be monsters, behemoths
mermen, kraken who prey
on Luna crazed dreamers
romancing her sly secrets
a’hunger for adventure or gain.
I’ve too many sad regrets
as back and forth I tread
this lonely widow’s walk
and curse my empty bed.
Oh, you’ve created a character, a mystery, almost a novella!

I love the way your poem leads the reader out on the silver trail, then leads us back again. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem.

I so enjoyed this… what a wonderful lure it can be.. and that tension between fear and lure.. so often we are left there.

It opens like a spell, you seem enchanted and torn between lure and fear. It has such a classic feel to it . Really nice
